Oblivion // ❡ SketchSnippet#21
Having finally extricated myself and loved ones from the crazy apocalyptic silliness that accompanies any semblance of snow in these here islands, and managed to make it back from my graduation in Reading on Friday, by train and then ferry. I thought I'd digitise some of the sketches I made over the weekend of long thumbtwiddling in airports, trains, planes, tubes, and ferry and also have a very quick play with illustrator cs5's stroke width tool. I've been meaning to have a looksee at this for a while now, ever since I saw Jessica Hische's screencast on the tool which got me curious in the first place... and yup. I'm totally hooked. So, first off, Oblivion! Yes, it was a fun weekend. I hope everyone else made it home from the graduation for Christmas, and that anyone else stuck in England or Ireland is doing ok in all the kerfuffle. Fingers crossed it all eases up a little before the mass migration for food inhalation and gift-giving of 25th.
omg. i love illustrator cs5 from Jessica Hische on Vimeo.
